Church of England ministries in continental Europe are largely self-supporting, as was the case of Anglican Airport Ministry. Since the start of 2011, the Old Catholic Church in the Netherlands participates in the runing of this ministry. The airport authority provides most of the operating costs of the chaplaincy, but the chaplains' salaries and maintenance, plus the foundation's operational expenses, must be provided by sponsoring churches, trusts, and interested individuals.
As there is no permanent Anglican congregation nor an Old Catholic Parish at the airport to support the chaplaincy, and no central Anglican funds in the Netherlands to draw from, outside sponsors are needed to insure the continuance of this ministry.We are blessed with the generous support of the Old Catholic church. OCAAM has a number of commmitted pledges, but we are still in need of new financial partners.
