Reverend Joop Albers began work at the airport chaplaincy in the summer of 2007.  Prior to that time he served as parish priest for the Old Catholic community in Den Helder, and simultaneously as assistant chaplain at the Church of England community in Amsterdam.  Joop also had a previous career in business, as a manager in IBM Netherlands for over 32 years.

Ecumenical Team
The other members of the chaplaincy team are the Roman Catholic pastor Gerard Timmermans - sma and a  minister of  the Protestant Church of he Netherlands. The three chaplains share the same office and form a single unit in planning and activities.
